Step Forms

Mortex's step liner form is a convenient and decorative alternative to traditional forms. The exclusive Mortex angled edge makes smaller form footprint and allows float access closer to corner of the step. Varying break points on the form allow for full 4", 6", and 8" high steps Angled form bottom allows for float access, not available with wooden forming While it cushions against concrete, it can be stripped and finished much earlier than traditional forms
Bender Boards, or wooden forms may be used to set radius steps.

Installation
1. The top of the step form should be placed even with the top of the wood form.
2. Before putting the form in place, cut the form at the break point whith a sharp knife for the desired height
(see diagram)
3. The 1/2 space between the bottom of the wood and the bottom of the form liner allows for float and trowel access.
4. Place the step form on the inside of the wooden form. Secure with nails or tape.
5. Mortex forms can be stripped and finished much earlier than traditional forms. While the concrete is still fresh, you can use a small section of the form to float and trowel the edge.
