Color Hardeners

Used to consistently color the surface of freshly-placed concrete by broadcasting onto the surface and floating in.  All color hardeners are not created equal.  Certain color hardeners contain elements that enable the contractor to more easily float the hardener into the concrete surface.  Wetting agents and different grain sizes of sand can cause the color hardener to “wet-out” much more easily and, when complemented with of decent amount of pigment in the Portland Cement, yield excellent coverage with minimal effort (especially in hot temperatures).  QC and Southern Color have made a commitment to making quality color hardeners an other decorative concrete products.  All Color Hardeners are available in 60 lb. bags starting at $34.00 and (limited stock) 60 lb. pails starting at $39.40.  A 60 lb. bag or pail of color hardener should cover approximately 100-120 square feet on average. Lighter colors tend to cover less area. Most Standard Colors are in stock and custom colors as well as color matches can be accommodated with advanced notice (may change pricing).
