Other Cure

Polyseal A - Polyseal A is a 2005 VOC compliant, medium gloss cure and seal.  Polyseal A is a non-yellowing acrylic that may be applied to clean, new or old concrete with a short-medium nap roller or airless sprayer at a rate of 250-350 square feet per gallon after visible moisture has dissipated.  Polyseal A is available in 5 gallon pails packaged ready-to-use.  Contractor’s volume pricing is $133.78 per pail

Polyseal WB – Polyseal WB is a water-based, low to medium gloss, acrylic cure and seal.  Polyseal WB is best used where a low-luster, dustproof surface is required over a concrete substrate or when a cure and seal is required for concrete strength development.  Polyseal WB may be applied with a short to medium nap roller or sprayed with an airless sprayer at a rate of 250-350 square feet per gallon.  Prior to application, the concrete substrate should be free of standing water and clean.  Polyseal WB is available in 5 gallon pails packaged ready-to-use.  Contractor’s volume pricing is $98.08 per pail.

ProtekX Siloxane 20 – Siloxane 20 is a water-based, penetrating sealer used on concrete and masonry surfaces to reduce the penetration of salts, ice, and acid rain.  Siloxane 20 is a water repellent that will not darken the concrete and will not form a slippery film on the surface.  The Siloxane molecule is similar to a silicone so it will penetrate deep into the pores of concrete and masonry surfaces and repel water-based liquids and help protect the concrete from freeze-thaw damage for many years.  Siloxane 20 can be applied by airless or pump sprayer at a rate of 400-500 square feet per gallon.  Note that once Siloxane 20 is applied, the surface will no longer accept film-forming water-based sealers.  Siloxane 20 is available in 5 gallon pails packaged ready-to-use.  Contractor’s volume pricing is $102.00 per pail.

ProtekX Silane 20 – Silane 20 is a water-based sealer, similar to Siloxane 20, used on concrete and masonry surfaces to reduce the penetration of salts, ice, and acid rain.  Silane 20 offers all the benefits of Siloxane 20 but with deeper penetration and longer-lasting protection because of its smaller molecular size.  Silane 20 will penetrate well into even very dense materials such as clay brick and last as long as 20 years or more.  Silane 20 can be applied by airless or pump sprayer at a rate of 400-500 square feet per gallon.  Silane 20 should be kept off of any glass surfaces during application.  Silane 20 is available in 5 gallon pails packaged ready-to-use.  Contractor’s volume pricing is $142.00 per pail.

SDI EZ-Glow – EZ-Glow is a dry-bright acrylic floor polish that can be diluted with water and applied by mop to interior, sealed concrete floors.  The application of EZ-Glow periodically will enhance the sheen of most sealers over interior concrete floors and also dramatically improve most sealers’ life-spans by acting is a non-yellowing, water-resistant, shiny, tough-wearing surface that is easily maintained.  EZ-Glow is diluted with 3 parts water to 1 part EZ-Glow and spray-buffed, or mopped onto the sealed surface with a clean yarn mop.  Multiple coats are recommended for initial application followed by an occasional maintenance coat when necessary.  EZ-Glow normally dries within 30 minutes.  EZ-Glow comes in 1 gallon bottles concentrated.  One gallon of EZ-Glow after dilution should cover approximately 300 square feet per gallon.  Contractor’s volume pricing is $21.90 per bottle.

SDI EZ-Glow Plus – EZ-Glow Plus is a high solids acrylic floor polish that can be burnished with high-speed burnishing equipment or applied with a clean yarn mop or lambs wool applicator.  EZ-Glow Plus yields all the same benefits as EZ-Glow with the added bonuses of slip-resistance, higher solids-content, better wear-resistance, sheen, and durability when burnished.  EZ-Glow Plus does not need to be diluted.  It comes in 1 gallon bottles ready-to-use.  One gallon of EZ-Glow Plus can cover approximately 1500 square feet.  Contractor’s volume pricing is $27.30 per bottle.

QC Solvent-Based Tint Concentrate – QC Solvent-Based Tint Concentrate can be used with most solvent-based clear sealers.  The Tint Concentrate can be added to clear solvent-based sealers to add color to the coating either as a light hue or a deep pigment.  It is recommended to add only a portion of the Tint Concentrate to the sealer at first, test an area, and then add additional Tint Concentrate in small increments until the desired coloration is reached.  QC Solvent-Based Tint Concentrate is available in pints (to tint 1 gallon of sealer), quarts (to tint 5 gallons of sealer), and gallons (to tint 55 gallon drums of sealer).  SDI only stocks quarts in limited colors, but with proper lead time, QC Solvent-Based Tint Concentrate is available in any of QC’s standard colors.  While one quart of Tint Concentrate is pre-packaged to tint 5 gallons of clear solvent-based sealer, for varying degrees of clarity and translucency, do not add all at once.  Contractor’s volume pricing is $52.42 per quart container.
