Release Agents
QC and Southern Color (Mosaics) powder release agents are a calcium stearate, colored release powder most commonly used to both release stamps during the imprinting process and also impart a secondary accent coloring to the concrete. They are broadcast by hand over the concrete surface after all finishing work is complete, just prior to placing the stamps down. QC Release Powders are available in 30 lb. pails starting at $63.08 for most colors. Southern Color (Mosaics) Release Powders are available in 25 lb. pails starting at $50.06. Custom colors and color matches can be accommodated with lead time (pricing may change). A 30 lb. pail of Release Powder should cover approximately 800-1000 square feet. A 25 lb. pail of Release Powder should cover approximately 650 -850 square feet.
SDI Ultra Pure Liquid Release is a clean alternative to the use of powder release agents. SDI Ultra Pure Liquid Release is a thoroughly refined liquid (light solvent) that is applied by sprayer. It has been thoroughly refined to keep stamping tools from swelling and corroding, unlike some other liquid release agents. It is not flammable and has a light sweet odor. It has been designed to evaporate slowly but fully…slowly to offer plenty of time to stamp without re-application, and fully within 12 hours so as to not conflict with the cleaning process or application of sealers. SDI Ultra Pure Liquid Release is commonly tinted with amounts of colored, powder release agents to also offer a secondary accent coloring without the mess that broadcasting powders can often make. SDI Ultra Pure Liquid Release is available in 5 gallon pails starting at $75.25. A 5 gallon pail of liquid release should cover approximately 1200-1500 square feet.
